ESPAÑOL: ¡FELIZ AÑO NUEVO 2015! La gran mayoría debe de estar ya en medio de las preparaciones para despedir este año. Para algunos muy bueno, para otros terrible. Yo creo que todos los años son buenos dependiendo de la óptica como uno lo mire. Siempre hay lecciones que aprender tanto de lo bueno como de lo malo que nos ha tocado pasar y es beneficioso para el crecimiento personal el tomar cada obstáculo con calma y encontrar en sí mismo la respuesta, viviendo auténticamente y pensando siempre en la consecuencia de sus acciones.
Yo por mi parte quiero agradecer a todos ustedes y en especial a los que continuamente me envían sus mensajes de apoyo y cariño, MIL GRACIAS!! Este año ha sido uno muy duro para mí y en general para los de la banda. Hemos estado totalmente dedicados a la composición y grabación de mi 2ndo disco y espero que muy pronto pueda darles un avance del trabajo que hemos venido haciendo. Estoy muy emocionada y contenta por cómo están quedando los temas \m/!!
Que tengan un año excelente, espero verlos pronto en el concierto de presentación del nuevo álbum!!

ENGLISH: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Most of you are probably already in the middle of their preparations or celebrations to say goodbye to 2014 which for some was great and for others it was awful. I personally think that all years are good depending on how you look back to them. There are always lessons to learn from the good and the bad that happened to us and this is beneficial for each and every one of us in terms of personal growing. We can take every obstacle we faced with courage and find out the answer living authentically and thinking always about the consecuences of our actions.
Personally I would like to thank each and everyone of you and specially those who always send me messages lending me words of support and love, THANKS A LOT!! This past year has been a tough one in general for all the members of my band.We've been dedicated to composing and recording my 2nd album which hopefully I'll soon be able to show you guys a preview of the work in progress. I'm really excited and happy on the results so far, the songs are kicking ass! \m/!!
I wish you all have an awesome year and hope to see you soon on the live show when I present my new album!!

La semana pasada fui a visitarlos y me gustaron mucho sus polos y poleras. Especialmente hay un modelo que me encantó. Es justamente la polera que llevo puesta en esta foto. Son los símbolos de los 4 elementos. Tierra, Agua, Aire y Fuego. Un agradecimiento especial a Heidi y a Victor por todo!

PD: Si están en Barranco, les recomiendo que vayan a un local que está en Grau. Es una fábrica de cerveza artesanal buenaza que tiene el nombre de BEER COMPANY! Fuimos antes de ir a la feria, pues no habíamos almorzado nada. El precio es bueno para la calidad de comida que te sirven y la calidad de la cerveza, ni qué decir. Nos pedimos una de cada tipo para probar y al final me decidí por podir una grande de "LA COMBI". Eso acompañado de unos croqueños y Rafo con Daniel se pidieron una pizza de maiz morado con cecina y nose qué otras cosas más que se la devoraron en un segundo. Hay un pan de cerveza con el que sirven el chorizo que se veía buenazo también. Para qué, una buena opción si es que uno no quiere comer lo mismo de siempre ;)
ESPAÑOL: Hace algún tiempo fui sorprendida por un obsequio muy especial. Grande fué mi sorpresa al encontrar un sobre con dos excelentes muestras musicales de la gran banda DEADLY CARNAGE de Italia. Recuerdo escuchar por primera vez el tape DECADENZA, un Black Metal arrebatado pero con muchas luces melódicas de lo que me encontraría con su segundo trabajo SENTIERO II CENERI. En ese momento me dije a mi misma que no podía perderle el rastro a estos excelentes exponentes de Post Black/DoomMelódico!
Más aún me emocioné cuando después de varios meses, recibo en el correo un polo único de la banda! Un bividi blanco con un estampado en la parte frontal de un símbolo que se lee: "DEADLY CARNAGE - DECADENCE - INDIVIDUALISM - POETRY". En la parte posterior, hay un enunciado que se lee "MEMORIES WILL BE MY EPITAPH". Sin duda, uno de los polos de banda mejor logrados que he tenido la oportunidad de ponerme. Desde ya les agradezco a los muchachos por haberme enviado tan buen merchandising de la banda, excelente!
Y como para no perder la costumbre, hace algunas semanas recibí una muy grata sorpresa. El 3er disco de la banda titulado "MANTHE". De plano me encantó el trabajo de la portada del disco, en conjunto con el arte del polo incluido en el paquete. Da una sensacion de que el contenido musical está ligado a la decadencia humana y a la falta de conservación de los recursos del planeta.
Mi primera impresion acerca de "MANTHE" fue que de alguna manera lograron sonar tan oscuros y llenos de tristeza como su último material, a pesar de encontrar una vibra más calmada a comparacion de una agresiva. En caso de no haber sido muy clara, recalco que este album me ha encantado! Es para fans del material antiguo de DEADLY CARNAGE, así como para aquellos que recién conocen a la banda.
El primer track "Drowned in Hope" comienza con un arpegio oscuro y melódico. Algunas personas se sorprenderén de este comienzo, pero luego de un minuto aprox. escuchamos cómo va evolucionando poco a poco hacia la pesadez que los caracteriza, al clímax de la canción en donde el vocalista Marcello logra sonar con tanta emoción, que realmente impacta y te hace comprender el significado de la letra. (la emoción en la voz de Marcello a través de todo el disco es realmente impresionante!).
El segundo tema "Dome of the Warders" está bien inmerso en las nebulosas del Doom Metal. La canción esta llevada por el bajo excelentemente ejecutado de Adres y las guitarras están más que nada acompañando el ritmo y la constante del track. A la mitad nos encontramos con un quiebre instrumental que calma la llevada por unos momentos, pero ayuda inteligentemente a crear la atmósfera necesaria para la última parte de la canción. Recalcando en este punto nuevamente, la melodía vocal junto con la letra es bien agresiva, con guturales medios y agudos casi gritados. Esto hace que la técnica vocal de Marcello ayude muchísimo a que uno comprenda la importancia de la letra.

Continuando con el 3er tema "Carved in Dust", éste nos lleva a los buenos momentos del antiguo DEADLY CARNAGE que conocemos y adoramos de su primer material. Muy influenciado por el Black Metal, el baterista Marco realmente sobresalta en esta canción con una llevada mucho más rápida que en las anteriores canciones del disco. Personalmente ésta es una de mis favoritas del album!
" ... I hope this is our last time on the Earth
In this damned place
Engraved in the palace at dusk
As wrinkles of pain cross my soul I hope this is our last time on this Earth ..."
"Beneath Forsaken Skies" es el 4 tema, el cuál continua con las influencias del Black Metal. Me recuerda al de la vieja escuela (piensen en Isengard, Immortal antiguo, Burzum, etc. pero con una produccion muchisimo mas profesional). Muy buenas las guitarras de Alexios y Dave en este track!
Algo muy interesante sucede en el penúltimo tema "Il Ciclo della Forgia". Está influenciado por un Metal Pagano/Vikingo excelentemente fusionado con el Black/Doom Metal. En mi opinión, ésto es lo que Quorthon quería lograr con el album "Hammerheart" de Bathory. Debido a que este es un album clásico del estilo, querrán tomar nota de esto. Por más que la producción de este tema es bastante elaborada, melódica y profesional, se puede notar que jamás pierde la crudeza que uno siempre quiere escuchar en este subgénero de Metal.
Cabe resaltar que ésta es la única canción en italiano, todo el album está en inglés. Brilla aquí la inclusión de un solo de flauta maravillosamente ejecutado por Stefano Galassi, le da el toque de clase a este gran tema! El sexto track "Electric Flood" es de lo mejor del Black Metal. Los guitarristas Alexios y Dave nos llevan en un viaje y nos enseñan como debe de sonar este género en los tiempos de hoy. Nunca pierden la melodía, pero están suspendidos en el ambiente característico del mismo. Una canción imperdible!
La cancion que cierra el disco y que lleva el mismo nombre del mismo, "MANTHE", es una epica cancion de 14 minutos que lo tiene todo. Desde Doom a Vikingo, Death y Black Metal. Pareciera que DEADLY CARNAGE dejo lo mejor para el final. Por mas que sea un tema de larga duracion, este nunca decepciona ni cae en las garras del aburrimiento. La versatilidad del vocalista Marcello se luce a lo largo del tema con muchos estilos y cambios suaves de una seccion a otra. Un gran final para un aun mas grande album!
En resumen, "MANTHE" es un excelente material de esta banda italiana y me siento realmente honrada de que ellos hayan compartido esta joya conmigo. Invito a todo fan del Metal a escuchar este gran album, no se decepcionaran. Es un disco muy emocional, las letras son complejas asi como la musica. No es para nada facilista. De todas maneras deberia de estar en el top de la lista para cualquier fan de Doom/Black/Viking Metal!

ENGLISH: Some time ago I was surprised by a very special gift. I was ecstatic to find a package with 2 excellent masterpieces from the Italian band DEADLY CARNAGE. I remember listening the tape DECADENZA for the first time. An impulsive Black Metal, but with melodic lights of what I will encounter on their 2nd full length SENTIERO II CENERI. At that moment I said to myself I couldn't miss the track of this excellent black/doom metal exponents! I was even more surprised when after some months I received on the mail a kick ass merch from the band! A white tank top that has a black lined symbol printed on the front that reads "DEADLY CARNAGE - DECADENCE - INDIVIDUALISM - POETRY". At the back it reads "MEMORIES WILL BE MY EPITAPH". Without doubt, it's one of the best acchieved band t-shirt I have had the opportunity to wear. Since now I thank the guys for sending me such a great merch item!!
Just to not get out of the habit, some weeks ago I received a very very nice surprise. The 3rd album of the band entitled "MANTHE"! From the beginning I loved the cover artwork of the album, in general the art behind the t-shirt and the flyers as well. It gives the feeling that the musical content is linked to the human decadence and the lack of preservation the earth's resources.
My 1st impression about "MANTHE" was that somehow they managed to sound as dark and gloomy as their last effort, even though we can find more of a calm vibe than an aggressive one. In case I'm not really clear, I would like to point out that I like this album very much, this is for fans of old DEADLY CARNAGE material as well as people that recently found them.
The first track "Drowned in Hope" starts with a very melodic but dark arpeggio. Most people would be surprised because of this but after a minute or so, we will hear the sound getting heavier and heavier until the climax of the song where the vocalist Marcello manages to sound with so much emotion that it will actually makes you understand the meaning of the lyrics (we will feel this emotion in Marcello's vocals throughout the album, really impressive!).
2nd track "Dome of the Warders" is pretty straightforward Doom Metal. This song is very bass driven, well played by Adres as the guitars are mainly accompanying the rhythm and pace of the song. In the middle of the track we will find an instrumental breakdown that slows things down for a minute, but this intelligently helps to create the atmosphere for the last portion of the song. The lyrics are almost screamed throughout the end of the song, once again Marcello's emotional vocals delivers the importance of the lyrics.

3rd track "Carved in Dust" takes us to the good old DEADLY CARNAGE we know and love from past releases. Very Black Metal influenced, Drummer Marco really stands out on this track as it's a more fast speed metal than the previous this album. This is my personal favorite!

4th track "Beneath forsaken Skies" is once again more Black Metal influenced, reminds me of old school Black Metal (think of Isengard, old Immortal, Burzum, etc. but with much better production). Loved the guitars from Alexios and Dave on this killer track!
Something really interesting happens on the 5th track "Il Ciclo della Forgia". It's a very Viking/Pagan Metal influenced well merged with Black/Doom Metal. In my opinion, this is what Quorthon wanted to achieve with Bathory's "Hammerheart" and being that a classic album of the genre you may want to take special note here. Even though the production is very well crafted, you can hear it never looses the rawness we would like to find in this type of Metal.
It's fair to remark that this song is the only sung in Italian. All the tracks are sung in English. Here shines the solo flute marvelously played by Stefano Galassi. Great finale!
6th track "Electric Flood" is black metal as is finest, guitarists Alexios and Dave take us into a journey on how black metal should sound nowadays, they never loose the melodic but very dark ambiance of the genre, a must hear track of the album.
7th and final track is a 14 minute epic end for this fine album entitled "MANTHE". It has everything, from Doom to Viking, Death and Black Metal. It seems like DEADLY CARNAGE left the best for the end. As long as 14 minute track is, this never disappoints and it never gets boring plus vocalist Marcello shines out throughout the track with his versatility being showcased in so many ways and styles! Very smooth changes from one section to another... a great end for an even greater album!
In summation "MANTHE" is a very strong effort from this Italian band. I feel very honored that they shared this gem with me! I encourage any fan of fine Metal to listen to this album, you won't get disappointed. This is a very emotional album, the lyrics are very complex as well as the music and it should be on the top of the list for any fan of Black/Viking/Doom Metal around the world, a must have!

ESPAÑOL: Como muchos de ustedes ya saben, estamos a puertas de entrar al estudio de grabación para producir mi segundo álbum (el cuál contendrá 100% material propio) y quería presentar a los músicos de mi banda como se debe. La sesión de fotos se realizó en mayo de éste año en los estudios del excelente fotógrafo Jose Cuadros, quién una vez más hizo gala de su admirable trabajo. Gracias especialmente a Mabel Molina por apoyarnos con el maquillaje y a Candy Castro y Valeria Markoch por inmortalizar con sus cámaras todo el proceso (el cuál compartiré muy pronto!). Finalmente, un agradecimiento super especial a Rafael Nuñez por coordinar todo lo relacionado a mi banda y por su tremendo apoyo en todos los logros que tenemos y a los que apuntamos.

Les cuento que acabo de regresar del Lanzamiento Oficial del disco compilatorio METAL MADNESS - A PERUVIAN METAL COMPILATION VOL. 1 en 2112 STUDIOS. No les había comentado nada antes, pues quería que sea una sorpresa. 13 bandas de metal peruano han incluido una canción para unirlo en este excelente compilatorio en formato físico ya disponible a la venta a través del FAN PAGE de METAL MADNESS PRODUCTIONS!
Me alegro sobremanera de ser parte de este trabajo en conjunto con bandas de tan buen nivel musical. Desde aquí mando un saludo especial a todas ellas, fue genial compartir con todos ustedes y celebrar lo que más nos gusta hacer, tocar metal \m/ Porque es lo que nos nace, sino no estaríamos aquí. FECHA EN VIVO CONFIRMADA! El primer concierto de esta nueva temporada es en el Festival ROCK DEL NECIO IIIeste SABADO 03 DE MAYO en el GALPON SOMMI (Av. Angamos # 1878 – Frente al Open Plaza, a 1 cuadra de Tomás Marsano), organizado porMasterline Backline. La entrada está a S/. 15.00 adquiriéndola en la puerta del local.
Este festival alterna a bandas de géneros diferentes, todos siempre guardando como base el Rock y el Metal. Este es el evento oficial en Facebook para los que quieren unirse y seguir las actualizaciones oficiales ahí: ROCK DEL NECIO III - Evento Oficial. El cartel de esta noche es bastante variado y la hora en la que arranca el show es desde las 3:30pm!

Como muchos de ustedes saben, me había alejado un poco de los conciertos para poder enfocarme en la pre-producción de mi próximo EP. Les cuento que estoy trabajando tanto como puedo y espero (con mucha suerte) poder darles una muestra en este Festival! Definitivamente me estoy tomando más tiempo de lo calculado al comienzo debido a muchos cambios en torno a mi vida personal y profesional, pero algo de lo que sí estoy segura es que no hay nada que me pueda alejar de hacer lo que más satisfacción me da, que es componer, cantar y tocar en vivo esta música que me llena de vida y me da fuerzas para seguir adelante sin importar qué tan bueno, malo o decadente sea el pronóstico.
Aprovecho en mandar un abrazo a todos aquellos a los que he conocido a través de la música. “Nos encontramos en frente de la Iglesia del Parque Kennedy en Miraflores”. Ese se ha vuelto el punto de encuentro clásico! Quería decirles que en verdad me siento muy afortunada de poder contar con toda su buena onda, energía, entusiasmo y positivismo. Muchos me preguntan por qué simplemente no dejo mis discos y merchandising en alguna tienda para poder tener mas tiempo libre. La verdad es que no podría, me siento feliz de poder conocer a personas que disfrutan de ésta música tanto como yo!
Lo que la mayoría de personas no entiende es que el poder compartir esos momentos es lo que me ayuda a seguir adelante en una rama musical que casi en su totalidad no tiene el apoyo que merece. Y digo que se merece, porque carajo… los músicos, las bandas realmente se matan por sonar lo mejor posible, por grabar sus temas, por promocionarse, por hacer que los respeten y que no los estafen en los conciertos, o que no les saque la vuelta su “disquera”, que lo único que hace es darle unos cuantos discos a la banda y el resto vaya uno a saber que harán con el aparte de ganar la plata que la banda merece en por lo menos un buen porcentaje. Al menos ahora hay algunas pocas personas que se han puesto la camiseta para sacar adelante este medio de expresión y poco a poco está rindiendo sus frutos. Esperemos que esta comunidad siga creciendo fuerte y unida!
