there was upon a time
when lullabies were sung
where clouds tasted like kindness
and rhymes were done with hope
bring those memories back, I told them
but no emotions were ever shown
if I had the power of shattering
I surely would let things go
help me choose a precious word
help me find that hidden thought
how could I have ever foretold
beauty in here would never dare to grow
again I find myself fainting
a forgotten pen on my right hand
some elusive letters I try to write
to see the ones that have already fallen to the side
