Influences & Connections Vol. 1 - Sneak Peak HARVEST by OPETH

Español: Luego de haber experimentado más fallas técnicas en este último mes que en todos los dos últimos años juntos, puedo finalmente publicar un nuevo video adelanto de lo que será mi primer disco como solista titulado INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. Algunos de ustedes me han estado preguntando cuándo publicaré mi versión de HARVEST de la banda sueca de death metal progresivo OPETH y por fin puedo decirles que ya pueden ver un adelanto de este tema en mi Canal Oficial de Youtube lml!

Como ya había comentado en algunos posts anteriores (post1, post2), la grabación de esta canción es muy especial para mi, siempre quise poder interpretar a mi manera las canciones de mi banda favorita, OPETH. Como saben, en esta versión también colabora el vocalista de HELLIUM e HYPNOX Rafael Nuñez, grabando las armonizaciones. Ahora que HARVEST ya está terminada y lista para pasar al proceso de mezcla y masterización no puedo sino esperar a que les guste a ustedes :) También pueden darle ME GUSTA a mi Página Oficial de Facebook dándole click AQUÍ.

English: After experimenting more technical issues in the last month than the past 2 years together, I can finally publish a new video teaser of what´s gonna be my first solo album entitled INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. Some of you've been asking me about the publishing date of my version for HARVEST by the swedish progressive death metal band OPETH and I can finally say that you can watch a preview of this song on my Official Youtube Channel lml!

Like said on my previous posts (post1, post2), the recordings of this version were particulary special for me, I always wanted to sing OPETH´s songs (it's my favourite band). As many of you already know, Rafael Nuñez (HYPNOX and HELLIUM´s vocalist) also collaborates making the harmonies. Now that HARVEST is finished and ready to take it for mixing and mastering, I can´t do anything but hope that you guys like it :) You can also LIKE my Official Facebook Page by clicking this LINK.

HAPPY METAL B-DAY!

Español: A través de este post quería AGRADECER todos los mensajes, saludos, llamadas, videos, abrazos y muchos buenos deseos que me han hecho llegar por mi cumpleaños, GRACIAS! La verdad es que este año ha sido bastante difícil pero sin duda, el más feliz que he pasado. Tengo la suerte de tener amigos realmente buenos, que se preocupan y me quieren por lo que soy y no por lo que tengo o por lo que quieren que yo sea. GRACIAS a todos por quererme, apoyarme y tener siempre una sonrisa o una palabra de aliento, es algo que yo jamás voy a olvidar y que valoro mil veces más que cualquier otra cosa en el mundo!

Es algo difícil el poder expresar con palabras lo que siento al leer todos los mensajes que me han dejado por Facebook o Twitter, nunca me imaginé que todo el trabajo que estoy haciendo relacionado a la música haya calado de tal forma que personas totalmente desconocidas para mi, se hayan interesado en escucharme y en valorar lo que vengo haciendo. Sinceramente les digo que me emociono mucho en leer cada saludo, me dan fuerzas para seguir adelante... ya falta poquísimo!

A todos quiero decirles que los quiero mucho, GRACIAS nuevamente por un cumpleaños tan memorable y espero que sigan muchos más :D

Through this entry I wanted to THANK all the messages, wall posts, phone calls, videos, hugs and many best wishes that all of you sent me for my B-DAY, THANK YOU SO MUCH! To tell the truth, this year has been really tough for me, but there's no doubt it's been the happiest of them all! I feel so lucky to have such awesome friends, who really care about me and love me for who I am and not for what I own or what they want me to be. THANKS to everyone for loving me, supporting me and always having a smile on your face for me, it's something I won't never forget and that I value 10 thousand times more than anything else in the world.

It's really hard to explain with mere words what I feel as I read all the messages you've left me on Facebook and Twitter. I never imagined that all the work I'm doing related to music could have soaked through so many yet unknown people for me, who are really interested in listening to me and who value what I've been doing so far. Sincerily I tell you that I'm really excited reading every message and that they give me the strenght I need to go on... we're almost there!

To each and everyone of you I want to tell you that I love you, THANKS again for such a memorable B-DAY and I wish there are more to come :D

Influences & Connections Vol. 1 - Sneak Peak TIDES OF TIME by EPICA

Español: En esta entrada quiero mostrarles el nuevo avance de las grabaciones de mi disco INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. Se trata de una canción muy hermosa, es TIDES OF TIME del último álbum DESIGN YOUR UNIVERSE (2010) de la banda holandesa de metal sinfónico EPICA. 

Para serles sincera, este track se me hizo bastante complicado de grabar. Si bien yo ya he realizado Tributos en vivo a EPICA con mi banda de melodic death metal HYPNOX, es muy diferente tomar una balada suave y grabarla. Ya me di cuenta que he estado malacostumbrada a cantar bastante alto, pensando que teniendo potencia podría cantar metal, pero se necesita más que eso. Esa versatilidad es tan difícil de encontrar... De todas formas me encantó aprender un poco más y tratar de ponerle más dulzura a mis líneas vocales.. porque no hay duda de que Simone Simons tiene una voz hermosísima! 

Ya con esta canción voy subiendo a mi Canal Oficial de Youtube un total de 7 videos, me esperan aún 7 videos más de covers y 1 video de mi canción propia! De todas formas, ojalá que les guste el adelanto de mi versión de TIDES OF TIME, saludos y gracias a todos desde ya por el apoyo y las palabras de aliento :D!

English: On this post I want to show you the new sneak peak on the recordigns of my album INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. This time I'm talking about TIDES OF TIME from the last album DESIGN YOUR UNIVERSE (2010) of the dutch symphonic metal band EPICA. 

To be truly honest with you, I found this track specially complicated to record. It's true that I did EPICA Live Tributes with my melodic death metal band HYPNOX before, but it's completely different to sing a soft ballad like this one and record it. I realized that I've been used to sing loud, thinking that having voice power was perfect to sing metal music, but that it's not just that. The versatility is really hard to find... Well, either way I loved to learn more knowing how to put more softness to my vocal lines, 'cause there's no doubt that Simone Simons has an unique amazing & sweet voice!

Counting this new video teaser, I'm summing 7 videos uploaded on my Official Youtube Channel and there are 7 more covers to upload + 1 original song! Anyway, hope you all like my version of TIDES OF TIME, cheers and thanks a lot to all of you for the support and kind words :D!
