ENGLISH: Great news for me and everyone that helped me publish my 1st studio album INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1 and an excellent opportunity for those who want my album and pay using PAYPAL. My album is available from now on in JAPAN via ROCK AVENUE RECORDS!

It still surprises me how all things are coming along. To be honest, my expectations with my 1st album were giving you the fans an introduction to my original songs with THE FRAUD and at the same time pay tribute to the bands that influenced me when I first started my singing career, hence the title of the album. However I never expected all the positive reactions from all over the world from all of you guys. In all honesty I´m extremely grateful for all your continued support throught time. The result being that a Japanese Record Store showed interest in distributing my album. Of course none of this could have been possible if my brothers from NAUTILUZ never have gotten the success they achieved in the Land of the Rising Sun. Thanks to this, Japanese record labels and stores such as ROCK AVENUE RECORDS begun taking interest in peruvian metal bands.

Hasta ahora sigo muy impresionada por cómo se han dado las cosas. La verdad es que mis expectativas con este primer material eran de introducción a mis composiciones vía THE FRAUD y de homenaje a aquellas bandas que me influenciaron en el inicio de mi carrera musical, pero no me había preparado para obtener una respuesta tan positiva por parte de todos ustedes... sinceramente desde aquí un abrazo a todos aquellos que me han dado la mano, me han apoyado a lo largo de todo este tiempo y siguen ahí, dando siempre una palabra de aliento. Definitivamente el resultado de todo esto es que una compañía Japonesa se interese en mi trabajo y por supuesto sin dejar de mencionar a mis hermanos de NAUTILUZ, pues gracias a su éxito en el país del sol naciente es que ahora sellos discográficos como ROCK AVENUE RECORDS vuelcan sus miradas a bandas de metal "Made in Peru".

Influences & Connections Vol. 1 - Sneak Peek CANDLELIGHT FANTASIA by SYMPHONY X

ESPAÑOL: Con este post culmina la etapa de la publicación de los videos adelanto de los covers que grabé para incluirlos en mi disco INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. Ha sido un arduo trabajo, prácticamente todo el 2011 nos dedicamos exclusivamente a la pre-producción, grabación y promoción de los 14 covers + mi canción propia y la verdad es que ha sido una experiencia totalmente gratificante... he aprendido muchísimo! 

Viendo en retrospectiva, me da risa el leer posts antigüos cuando recién comenzaba a hablar acerca de mis avances en la música, mis ideas, las cosas que me gustaban (como el libro de cocina metalera de la cantante de Cauchemar!) y los momentos de malhumor también. El hecho de poder volcar mis pensamientos aquí ha sido de muchísima ayuda para mantenerme cuerda y seguir esforzándome cada vez más. Ahora que ya terminé de grabar el disco y estamos luchando por terminar con la fase de post-producción lo antes posible, he pasado a ensayar con la banda y a retomar los escenarios... algo que anhelaba hacía tiempo!

Hoy la etapa de videos adelanto de covers a su fin con la presentación de mi versión de CANDLELIGHT FANTASIA (DIVINE WINGS OF TRAGEDY, 1997) original de la banda de metal progresivo norteamericana SYMPHONY X. Fue bastante complicada adaptar tremenda canción a una versión para mi registro vocal, pero la verdad es que no podía dejar de lado esta obra maestra compuesta por los maestros Michael Romeo, Michael Pinnella (música) y Thomas Miller (letra). 

Espero les guste! Pronto revelaré el título de mi canción propia y posiblemente pueda grabar un videoclip de la misma, justamente estoy en conversaciones para decidir si se podrá lograr, ojalá que sí. Estoy planeando realizar shows tanto eléctricos como acústicos, a penas tenga las fechas fijas y los locales, lo anunciaré con flyer oficial en mano. ENGLISH: With this last post I end the phase of publishing video teasers of the covers I recorded to include on my upcoming album as a solo artist INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. It's been such a hard work that practically lasted all 2011, dedicating ourselves exclusively on the pre-production, recording and promotion of the 14 covers + 1 original song. It has been an awesome experience... I've learned a lot!

Going back in time, I grin each time I read some of my old posts, when I started talking about my progress on music, my ideas and the stuff I like (e.g. the Heavy Metal Cookbook by the singer of Cauchemar!) and also my moments why fuming about something. The fact that I could write down here how I felt at the time was a tremendous help for me to stay focused and keep on working harder each time. Now that I've finished recording the whole album, we're putting all our efforts in finishing the post-production phase as soon as possible. I've returned to rehearse with the band and also play live... something I was longing for so long!

Today the video teaser publishing stage has come to an end with the presentation of my version of CANDLELIGHT FANTASIA (DIVINE WINGS OF TRAGEDY, 1997) by the northamerican progressive metal band SYMPHONY X. It was very complicated for us to adapt such a kick ass song to a customized version for my vocal range, but the truth is that I couldn't just put aside this masterpiece originally written by the masters Michael Romeo, Michael Pinnella (music) y Thomas Miller (lyrics). 

I hope you all enjoy it! Soon I'll be able to reveal the title of my original song and luckily I would be able to record an official video. I'm also planing on playing some electric and acoustic live shows and I will be announcing them as soon as I have the fix dates and places, along with the official flyers. Influences & Connections - "Auctioned" de Dark Tranquillity

Español: Quería contarles que esta semana que pasó terminé de grabar una nueva canción para mi disco de versiones INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. Se trata de una canción bien subestimada del album PROJECTOR que lanzó la banda de melodic death metal sueca DARK TRANQUILLITY en el año 1999. Yo comencé a escuchar a DT recién en el 2006, justamente con su disco más suave, el PROJECTOR. 

Me presentaron ese disco como uno de los mejores de la banda, y sin error. Si bien DT se caracteriza por ser una de las mejores bandas de Melodic Death Metal actuales, teniendo el sonido de Gothemburg implícito en sus composiciones, no cabe duda de que el PROJECTOR, aparte de ser su trabajo más suave y sentimental, es uno de los más subestimados. Todos sabemos que los mejores discos (o bueno, al menos en mi opinión) son el GALLERY, DAMAGE DONE, CHARACTER y el FICTION. En verdad, todos sus discos son buenos, pero resaltan los mencionados de todas maneras! 

Me hubiera encantado cantar THE TREASON WALL, THEREIN, PUNISH MY HEAVEN, TERMINUS (WHERE DEATH IS MOST ALIVE), MY NEGATION o la inigualable LOST TO APATHY, pero por ahora no domino la técnica de guturales y quería centrarme en explotar mi voz limpia. Es por eso que de todas las canciones de DT, la que más me gusta es AUCTIONED. 

Ahora estoy terminando de ultimar los detalles de esta canción, así como de las que ya terminé de grabar en estas últimas semanas, los videos adelanto los subiré pronto a mi Canal Oficial de Youtube! Gracias a todos los que han dado "ME GUSTA" a mi nueva página en Facebook, ya somos más de 300 fans de la música y sobretodo del metal. Seguiré actualizando esa cuenta y la cuenta personal la iré dejando de lado. Saludos y gracias de nuevo por apoyar tanto mi trabajo :D!

English: I wanted to tell you that last week I finished recording one new song for my versions album INFLUENCES & CONNECTIONS VOL. 1. I'm talking about a very underrated song from the PROJECTOR album that the melodeath swedish band  DARK TRANQUILLITY released in 1999.  

A friend introduced me in 2006 to this album saying it was one of their best albums, without mistake. Although DT is recognized as one of the best contemporary Melodic Death Metal bands, having that Gothemburg sound implicit in their compositions, there's no doubt that the PROJECTOR album is a very underrated one. It is known that their best albums (well, at least that's my opinion) are the GALLERY, DAMABE DONE, CHARACTER and FICTION. Actually all their albums are very good, but the ones mentioned definitely stand out!

I'd have loved singing THE TREASON WALL, THEREIN, PUNISH MY HEAVEN, TERMINUS (WHERE DEATH IS MOST ALIVE), MY NEGATION o the unbeatable LOST TO APATHY, but I still don't master the growls technique and I wanted to focus on my clean vocals. That's why I chose AUCTIONED from all DT songs to include it on my album.  

Now I'm finishing the last details of this song, as well as doing it with the other songs I finished recording in the last weeks, the video teasers will be uploaded on my Official Youtube Channel!
